CORNCRAKE
That's what I did man, "I drank the milk and gambled on romance." Gave up the booze, indigestion is gone and now I can dance,

Omen
I agree with Elys Kudos. I had to read this one twice deep rooted to make one thing. Fema

Omen : Warning or premonition? Insight or Foresight?

this is so rich with metaphor and imagery - I had to read a couple of times (okay another time more)
I was mesmerized by the 'bird' imagery especially - the eagle soaring with a power - the doves - maybe a stale idea or image but, birds such as heron (so graceful) and form - how it does stitch movement and cadence --- and yes champions - yet, the struggle to write even when in writer's block is poetry within itself I find.
and life - sweet or bitter as wormwood (I have some of this growing in my gardens) - I hope will always reach out to the poet - the writer in one; even if only met halfway, that's almost fully inspired...  This is how this inspired me, Corncrake ~ Elyse

S  This is an excursion into words that taste. The philosophy spreads through the lines. It leaves the reader both satisfied and curious.  BC-A, Bill’s RJLst
