Driving in snow is an art. It helps to have places to practice where no
other cars or curbs are nearby. Then you just have fun!

Re: Nautikos
No, no snow tires. Interesingly enough preceding generations used to put snow tires on until they were phased out. Auto mechanics say that the tires now hold up better than in years' past and that we do not get enough snow (usually in the twenty to twenty-nine inch range throughout an entire winter) to really warrant using them. Are they right? I have no idea.

When we had snow I put a shovel and kitty litter in the back of my car. Don't know how well the kitty litter would have worked, but that's the advice I got from someone.

Sounds like you need a Yuki-Taro. The self-guided, GPS and camera equipped robot snowplow from Japan. It eats up snow and poops out ice bricks that can be stored for hot summer cooling. And besides that, it's cute.

I think you did the best you could without a lot of experience driving in those conditions! I have been in some awful weather and it is never easy! The conditions can creep up and take out the most experienced driver when there is that much snow! sam
