X-man...as always you did not answer my question.....you stated:
"the program is so good, it pays for procedures outside of Canada."

I asked you to shw me where it says the Canadian health care plan will pay for work done in the US for Canadians.  Why did you avoid the question..is it because you just made up what you said.

Dealing with you is very tiring....like handling a six year old with ADD....stay on topic man, it's not that hard!

I'll give some quotes from the article you referenced to show why
"He has gone to a renowned expert in the procedure that he needs to have done," said Ms. Dunderdale (Deputy premier)"

"In consultation with his own doctors, he's decided to go that route."
This says nothing about the quality of Canada's system vis a vis the U.S.
But a link on that page gives us more information:
Here's a quote from the latter:
"In fact, he said, patients from the United States and other countries come to the UHN's Peter Munk Cardiac Centre for valve repairs, a procedure developed by Toronto surgeons. Meanwhile, the death rate after bypass surgery in Ontario is among the lowest in North America, reports the province's Cardiac Care Network."
Here it is -- looks like maybe he did pay for the procedure himself:  "

Show me where it says in the article that
Canadian will be paying for the procedure?   No wonder you draw such insane conclusions......

doesn't say anything about the health care program
except that the program is so good, it pays for procedures outside of Canada.

It says something maybe for the quality of heart surgery in the U.S. since that is one area recognized as important.
