Just looking back over the styles of clothing that we 'had' to wear shows how regimented we are.

I've lived most of my life on the fringe. always being individual
standing up for what I believe in and trying to be me.....well not always succeeding but I created my own fashion years ago and don't care what people think.   But most of my family find me an embarrassment. I hate words like multiculturalism...tome that separates us all into our ethnic groups trying to live along side of each other. Why can't we just all be people....or cats lol Great post.

aint it true that with all the advanced technological crap
things are still exactly as they were so long ago. when will the human race grow up and learn to smell the roses, not stick it in someone's rear end?

I heard about the all white basketball league and I just laughed! What the heck are they thinking!? So absurd! This is a great political issue poem! It speaks volumes of how we are allowing ourselves to repeat what was successful in the past! For me anything to be successful needs a cross section of the population! It just benefits everything as a whole! sam

This post reminds me of the trite old saying of, "The more things change the more they remain the same."

I used to work at Seattle Central Community College,
where my boss, Ms. Rosetta, made a point of hiring people of all colors, ethnic backgrounds and orientations. She had the highest percentage of non-caucasians of any place I ever worked, and I believe her 40-43% ratio was the highest anywhere. If that's what this country will be like in a few more years, I can't wait! I thought it was great!
