This did touch this old "lovebird" ~ I'm so glad you found another to sing your happy song. It's sad when sometimes others can take away our lilt. I've been there and so has my husband and we're happier now for the experience of before. Great poem, BernieF ~ Elyse

I actually felt a chill rush through me as I reached the part where
she took you to the cleaners lol, You have put amazing words together for an experience that probably we all endured. This can be everybody that has ever "fallen in love" and/or wants to fall in love, I give it five star for creativity and content.

This rang a bell for me - you found words for a bitter experience I had years ago. Even tho I'm very happily married now, that shock of being rejected and having to fall OUT of love is still fresher than it ought to be.
