Rationing
I remember when my Mom had her ration books she had shown me..I still have them in my treasure box of experiences..She said her Dad had so much pride he didn't want to stand in the bread line for a loaf of bread..Your story poem brings out past memories and I have dusted off the cobb webs of recollection..Nicely done Lv. Rationing
I don't think there will be many people on this site that will even remember the war or even the post war rationing, you paint a vivid picture of how it must have been. the pure austerity of it all.
