Our quarter system at Ohio University
gives us Thanksgiving thru New Year's Day off. A few brief courses are offered, but for the most part, I think the students and profs mostly bug out of town then. It is a really wonderful type of schedule. Jan - mid-March is the second quarter here. Summer is the fourth quarter. However, our university's president is going to end all that -- boo hoo!

The second quarter does suffer from a lot of interruptions. Then it is followed by the hardest quarter of the school year! sam

We are having our first ever "snow week" in Kansas City schools. Schools and churches and many other things are just on hold.
