I guess neighborliness is more important in the bush, Elinjo
although many people move out here to get away from neighbours. How's that for contrary views, LOL! It could be nervous - I hope.

AH come on, Pat-B. We already know you some from your writing, and I, for one, think you are totally nice! As for the boy - two people made that pudding, mom & dad...we shall see which one he takes after!

I understand your point of view, Auslander
And it's true that people who walk pit-bulls in crowded parks often carry a tool like a crowbar, to be able to loosen the dog's grip in case they bite other animals. This is usually caused by the dog being too tied up or cooped up everyday; they need to get rid of alot of energy. Mine run loose here in the bush, and I have full confidence that they will not bite unless someone tries to hurt them, or me. I knew they could be intimidating, though, and that it would be a real hassle if the boy & dogs couldn't get used to each other. And the 'cont'd' part is going on, LOL! Thanks!

LMAO Sam!
Why not include that fouton I've been wanting, for my afternoon nap? I may have people trying to take over my office!!

We shall see, Elyse
I have 3 1/2 acres between him and I, most of it bush. We can only see each other's outside lights during the winter nights, because most of the acreage is bush & trees. ANyway, I'm hoping I just had a bad reaction because it was late and I was tired, and that he'll cool down some. Like his son's way though!

Re: curiosity more becoming to a cat :)
I agree, Tzippy - and seeing that I enjoy my privacy, this was a bit much. Maybe I started it by phoning him back at such a late hour?

And could you remember it CORNCRAKE?
Sometimes others take what we say in the wrong context. I hope this is the case here.

I agree, Justi
I need time to adjust to people when I meet them out of the blue. It kinda knocked me for a loop.

Perhaps you can explain his exuberance by saying he was nervous about meeting his new neighbors. I get the impression that living in the middle of the countryside neighborliness must be especially important.

Someone on TV said yesterday "Everybody's nice until
you get to know them." And I think that's probably true. Now all I have to do is just keep anyone from knowing me very well...  hahaha!  Maybe your exuberant neighbor is ok, just lacking in social skills. His son is a good kid, maybe the proof of the pudding... Write on!

Like your friend - I shall reserve judgment on the neighbour...

I finally took the time to read your last 4-5 entries and just love the dogs story! I love dog but have to confess that I have a real aversion to pit-bulls, not because I think that they attack more people than other breeds but because I know there is NO way anyone could pry open their jaws when closed on something or someone (they were bread for that, no?!). So, sorry, but I would have been terrified to have a boy un-known to me and the dogs come as close as that. As for your neighbour...I'm not too sure what to make of him...? I'm ready for the con't part now! More!More!

O my! What to think of this one! I have always said the internet will get one into trouble, this one is high speed! Can't wait for the next post! BTW! I posted today's humor with you in mind, NOW (rebut to NOT) I triple dog dare you to show that one to everyone in the office. My suggestion, a microwave on a cart with coffee urn needs to be included. Perhaps they could take up a collection; after there is the threat of exuberance in the office with this... lmao! Have a great evening! sam

Hmmm...I live near a 'exhuberant' neighbor and have over the years, simply drawn my blinds more and not returned some calls --- I don't fence but have nice shrubs planted --- creating a garden of wild flowers and roses to block unpleasant intrusions. I do hope it was exhuberance and not noseyness because that brings 'fences' - in my humble opinion.  I enjoy my lot and my whole existence within my borders.  ~ glad the boy knows how to communicate - sharing treats.  Elyse

curiosity more becoming to a cat :)
thats a cute and powerful description. I really like it. and I love meeting new neighbors, but learned that the best policy is not  allow them to get too nosy

Neighbors
First impressions are sometimes  hard to analyse .A woman told me that I had been very rude to her twenty years ago, but she wouldn't tell a friend. Good luck.

Tiresome are those who may mean well but are too familiar, too soon to be pleasant. It will be all better I hope.
