Congrats!
I thought I would get more out of my Ford, but the overflow clogged and that killed it. The overflow was too narrow....

It would be amazing if he made it to 500,000! I can't imagine driving a vehicle for that many miles. Too cool! sam

FSI
Hey, why not? If maintained properly, these things can last for decades...The most important thing is finding a good and honest mechanic...

..i drove a jeep for 300,000 miles and sold it...that was 3 years ago and the guy is still driving it...i should have kept it...i've talked to mechanics who have customers who drive vehicles 2, 3, 4, 5 hundred thousand miles and more...not every vehicle will do that but regular maintenance and repair are the keys if your vehicle is one of the ones that will...congrats to your dad! moon

that is amazing especially since its a ford (fixit or repair daily) I dont think I have ever known anyone with that much miles on a car before.  They usually start to be a problem after 150-200 thousand.

That's astounding, especially in comparison with the following!

Earth's Diameter at the Equator: 7926.28 miles. http://geography.about.com/od/learnabouttheearth/a/earthfacts.htm
