a fan of Poe..."Annabel Lee" has always been probably (subject to change in a heartbeat..:) my favorite.....

Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou were the 1st two poets I was actually interested in reading. But wow, that is most certainly a compliment from her mother.

Now I know why I adore you! I love Langston Hughes for he taught me how to write poetry from the soul! Well done, indeed! So glad I decided to read this one! And May, is there a purer soul? I doubt it! I saw an interview with her one time and she said the most striking thing she had heard came from her mother when she was about you age! Her mother said that May was the smartest person she had ever met! What a compliment from a parent! sam
