LOL, Muley. Too much mayo on that turkey sandwich? Or was it the liquid consumed to wash it down?

I would like to add...
In support of your turkey statements, that when it rains, turkeys look up to see what's happening, and aren't smart enough to stop looking up before they drown. Would PETA prefer we put turkeys in a shower and drown them? Hmmmm... Then we'd be using up the water supply, and then we'd have another dilemma on our hands that someone else would complain about.
I think you've hit the nail on the head with this piece, and done so quite eloquently. After all, if we don't consume these animals, another animal will, and what will PETA do then? Go after the foxes, wolves, bears and so forth to try and educate THEM on why they shouldn't eat meat? Additionally, if we need to go further into this - what gives PETA the right to try to save animals and not plants? Plants are also living creatures, but we eat them as well. Is it really humane to cut living plants with huge machinery for the consumption of mankind? I think your blog puts many things into perspective, and PETA needs to re-evaluate their arguments and beliefs... but that's just me. Thanks for a powerful post!

Re: Like a fish...if I don't eat him a bigger fish will.
Hi Kabu! Good point, if we don't eat him someone else will. It might as well be us. I don't care much for lobster, but if I ever decide to boil one I will get him drunk before I boil him.

Hi Guy! They say it is the tritiphan that makes us sleepy, but when have they ever told us the truth? I like your theory better. lol

Re: And PETA does real good when not being 'out there'.
Hi again benzinha, when are the members of peta NOT "out there"? Between tossing blood on people wearing furs, and agravating us for eating meat, when do they come to earth?

Hi benzinha! Don't worry about sliding down the food chain, just don't wander around the everglades or the woods by yourself and you will be fine.

Hey did you know the best way to prepare a Lobster for the pot? Sit himin a pot of cheap wine....drunk and dopey he don't mind so much being dropped in a pot of boiling water and they say that the flesh is more tender. Me, I need to drink the wine so I have the courage to drop him into the pot.

You may be misinformed on how turkeys are killed.
Mikey,
I'm pretty sure that turkeys are given a massive barbiturate overdose, to put their lights out. Much of the drug remains in the meat, obviously. Just try to keep your eyes open, after a big meal of turkey! Peta knows all about the food chain. They are below the Humane Society and World Wildlife Fund on it. Personally, I'm kinda partial to Wild Life, but haven't been exposed to the opportunity to take part in any, for years and years.

It was the 'seed from gravel' that got me. I can barely distinguish seed from gravel, myself. Danger danger danger, food chain level sliding................
