Re. generous comments!

Dear Friends,

Thanks for visiting and posting your kind and generous comments.

Yesterday was nearly computer-free. After took my grandson home I was busy with other things. Yesterday evening was spent watching a friend' s slide-show; remember slides, projectors and screens? Well he wanted to show his friends 500 slides from his trip to the West Indies.

So I did not have time to read your latest posts and will catch up later today.

Great history and family as well.  This is a wonderful tribute to - of your brother whom I can tell truly shared your big, caring, compassionate heart.  You're a jewel Elinjo ~ Elyse

Very interesting--fun read.  Makes me want a tricycle.  Grandma New York rode one all over Kissimmee, Florida until she was well over 90.

This is quite marvelous.  Bernard and me could  have been related, we sort of shared some of the very same things. I was born in 1936, and I served my military time in France, in the R.C.A.F. from 1954 to 1957. Eventually I gravitated to the printing industry and woked as a mechanic for many years until  I became an entrepreneur buying/selling/servicing printing equipment for myself under JAG Printing Equipment Services. I wish I had met him in Europe and I was in Germany often too. Thanks for that neat post my friend.

Excellent!
When I read about Bernard, Betty, I understood why Jacob, (in your story of Jacob and Rachel), enjoyed cycling. You modeled Jacob after Bernard. What part of Britain did your family live? You mentioned the air raids, so I'm intrigued. Although you were very young during the Second World War and thus wouldn't really remember it, but I wonder, did you ever get told stories of the hardship from Bernard or David? Forgive my curiosity, history particularly WW2 history, has always been fascinating for me.

Great entry.
Guess that was the first thing I thought of, after reading your entry. But it was also great because you had such a good way to tell about your brother(s). And it was a pleasure to read it.

I wish you a wonderful weekend, and have a night day. :)
