Though late as usual with this, I wish you a quick recovery and do hope you're feeling better already!

Back again to say thankyou
for all those supportive comments. Although stiff and a bit bruised I still enjoyed my outing yesterday evening. There were speeches, videos, music, champagne and it was well attended. I took a lot of photos but the lighting was not optimal, so a quarter of them were useless.
I'll be back to visit your blogs later on today.

On Betty, what happened? Hope you feel better soon and yes, as long as nothing is broken it's better to distract the mind. Enjoy your evening. This

is to make the bruises better.

If you fell but got back up, that's a win.
It coulda been so much worse. I noticed my balance is a bit better since I've been supplementing my Vit. D to 1,000 units a day. The U.S. raised the MDR from 400 a few months ago.
I once had a fall while walking to work at 7:30 a.m. Broke my glasses, cut my head, bled all over my jacket and tote bag, I got to ride in an ambulance with two darling adorable firemen, and had a few stitches from an intern. But the most curative thing happened the next day. There I was at my desk with my black & blue face: someone asked me how I got that drunk by 7:30 in the morning. I laughed so hard I almost fell off my chair.

Re: Elinjo
The good man died in 1987, but his widow is still alive and going strong; she'll be there. Thanks for the good wishes.

Enjoy the celebration – 100! Wonder if many of us will ever make it to that age? And, yes, keep movin’. It’s the best thing to do after a tumble.

Re: Thanks Shobana.
I'm OK. It always puts my nose out of joint doing silly things like falling over my own feet.
Optimism is what keeps us all going IMO. Have a really good weekend!

Betty - First, take care of the hurts after that fall. Truly hope you are ok. The article on optimism and pessimism is great actually. Something that we do in our management courses and one of the reasons I pick myself up after a low point each time. Up to a certain point I believe we need optimism in our lives. Thank you for that and also have a lovely time this evening.
