Re: JohnMacnab -- word count ...
The trick is don't edit. Just let the words fall where they may. Trust your instinct. What I'm finally finding out is the editing can kill a thread that's going somewhere if I stop to clean up the mechanics. Some of those little side trips turn into interesting destinations.

I love your 'thousand mile stare.'  That's when Ell waves her hand in front of my eyes and asks me if I'm OK.  No meetings for me so far as the one in the city is too far away.  Perhaps I'll start my own.  Great word count; mine was only 1710.

Wiley, Taps & Elinjo...

Taps & Elinjo -- I write every day, blogging keeps me going. If it's not for NaNoWriMo, it's editing and revising last year's work, or something else. Habit.

Wiley -- the water in the basement was from last week's interminable rain. I thought I mentioned it, but my short-term memory is really really short lately. It's mostly just a wet rug now, and the Flubby Ducks guys have their equipment going, so it'll be dry in a day or two...

Re: Ha back to Micky D's Good I want the gossipLOL
Well, I got there late. June's still trying to find out what "type" I am according to Reichian theory. There are fear blockers, anger blockers and something else I can't remember. She has a book for me to read, something about using the computer to write... can't wait.

Re: Nautikos -- the word count...
Sorry I wasn't clear -- the deal was the word count in those ten minutes. Word Count at the start deducted from the number at the end to get the speed timed total. It took me a minute to figure out what they were doing, too...

I was wondering the same thing as elinjo.  Where do you find the time to write this blog and its faithful daily posts?

It's amazing that you've also got the time to keep this blog up! Your must have tremendous stamina. Good luck.

Pat

I knew you couldn't stay away from June - I couldn't either, LOL.

And what are these writers doing, 'calculating' the number of words they wrote? In MS Word, under 'Tools', there's 'Word Count'...
