SoulSpeaker
This poem is, for me a layered metaphor which encompasses the process of thinking (something I am prone to do before each write is let my mind wander where it will for a while until I find my topic for the day) and deeper it provides a beautiful metaphor for life itself.  Thank you for sharing this and have a beautiful weekend

Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this piece. The mind...with all of its intricacies and complexities can very often, with few and quite simple calculations, figure out itself. (A line I deleted from the poem -- couldn't figure out where it would work.) Peace, blessings and understanding.~SS

This took me away, Soul…  there, in your words and my thoughts, I visited the “new” and the “strangely familiar”.  Well done!

Soulspeaker - This is simply beautiful. I love the last 2 lines very much and can relate to it. Thank you so much for your visit to my blog and liking my poem. Lotus Leafs are to be admired for a great many reasons.

A place we feel we've been before
though with every visit a new quest is born
as in the quiet stillness of solitude
we become deeply lost in thought

I love the last four lines    Thank you for sharing.   Chuck.

That's good!  Much nicer than being in a maze of unfamiliarity.
