Another would be to crash land on water and ditch the plane, similar to Joab's vehicle! Oh my, one my younger brother used to use, 'I ditched the cops by driving down an alley!' lol I've also heard it to be truant, too! sam

Say the word ditch
In the "old" days of narrow roads, and especially at night, to "ditch" another vehicle meant just that -- put it in the ditch that usually lined rural roads. Sort of a 30s game of "chicken". joab
