Dear One I don't know how I missed this one. I was off in lala land with illnesses of one sort or another. I am praying for you. I can't promise you anything but loving care that you do make it. It is my experience that many make it through associating with other like souls who have given their lives into the hands of  a higher power, in mine and those I work with that power is God, Jesus. He is never condemning, always loving and will take you into his arms and hold you up no matter what. Beinb in AA and making friends who know your pain to the core will be there for you. I am praying this moment for you. God bless and keep you.

I was missing you!! So, it was the puter which let you down. Thanks for having a look at my travel blog. I enjoy doing that. I guess you saw the latest about the 2 Marias. Nice to see you back.

You know in your heart what you must do. Do not go down with the ship.

You have become such a friend and now I may lose you. As an alcoholic myself I must say this to you. If you can pray for the courage to leave the situation, that may save 2 lives. Horrible truth.

I just read a letter from a shirt-tail relative who's lost his battle
with drugs. The problem with self-medicating to erase temporarily the grim reality of life is the medicine turns all the bad stuff worse. What was only miserable becomes unbearably horrible. This poem was painful to read because it's so real.

I read this poem first and then I went to the previous entry! My daughter is with a man now that is slowing destroying them both with his over indulgence in beer! It is a nightmare and your close wraps it up so poignantly for it destroys the person and those around them! Just a fine poem even though it is melancholy! sam

This is a reality for so many.  And, it's a two-way street.
For both the one who is addicted, and for the enabler,
it is heartbreak and healthbrake--emotional, psychological and physical.
May your choices be the best for all concerned.
