But whoever came up with calling cowards chickens never met a rooster.

But why then is a coward called a 'chicken'? Maybe chickens come from the timid branch of the family...

Kabu you just reminded me... My son is doing an assignment in which he has to design a theoretical evolutionary process, and his plan is to make chickens back into dinosaurs.

Mt grandchildren have two in the back yard. They both lay an egg everyday
and enjoy being cuddled by the kids. Someone must have forgotten to tell them that they are dinosauris chikenauras's. LOL

Talion, they may dream of being bigger than they are... like moas...
or those big birds a few ages back... they were in a movie a couple of years ago--
10,000 BC (We saw that one, and have since described it as 'prepostoric.')

I guess I'd be fierce too if I was a regular feature on the menu of nearly every culture on the planet. Maybe they aren't fierce enough.
