But why then is a coward called a 'chicken'? Maybe chickens come from the timid branch of the family...

Kabu you just reminded me... My son is doing an assignment in which he has to design a theoretical evolutionary process, and his plan is to make chickens back into dinosaurs.

Talion, they may dream of being bigger than they are... like moas...
or those big birds a few ages back... they were in a movie a couple of years ago--
10,000 BC (We saw that one, and have since described it as 'prepostoric.')
