If I shared the room, it would be "our" room, not "my" room. Alas, that simply won't do.

I've got plenty of names for the cat. Unfortunately, none are fit to print for a general audience.

Black isn't boring, it's...mysterious.

It's been done a million times before. Every femme fatale in every crime noir story is more catlike than human in many ways.

Perhaps, but I don't think it likes me too much.

TAPS.
The whole point was not to share, with the cat or anyone else. The cat's presence would suddenly make Queen V more apt to invade and eventually seek to control.

Why don't you just share the room? Make it the way you want it...I'm sure the cat won't mind. He'll probably enjoy your company. Or attack you. Whichever..it would be interesting to find out, wouldn't it?

Your Fortress sounds perfectly handsome...
as for catnomen: I suggest Fiacla: Irish Gaelic for 'claw'--though you'd have to check on the pronunciation if you want to get it right.

Ha ha I was just thinking as I read that all that boring sombre black
just needed a white cat to leave nice white fur everywhere. Seems thoughthat you willnever get the cavethough. It is already taken over by a female.....I believe Queen  V. can be relied on .......... teeheehee

You might find an advantage to having Ursurper own you...
You can adapt his personality to characters in your writing. A sly villain who attacks without warning can be ver-ry interesting...

Maybe the usurper (and perhaps that could be his name) would enjoy the man cave you envision.

I don't know what to say here about the Usurper, except that you might as well get used to sharing your dungeon fortress with him.  I've never found a way to change a cat from being what that cat already is.
