The church isn't concened with people when there's money to collect.
Ah, Kooka my friend. Now you've really done it. You've taken on the issues of conversion, prayer and Catholicism all in one succinct blog. I hope you are going to give us a P.S. on how this woman fares. If she isn't willing to change on the inside, her life won't change on the outside. Religion never fixed anyone and is a really poor excuse for staying stuck in a life that isn't very satisfactory... Sadly, the church/religion isn't interested in real personal change. The church has become big business and keeping itself rich and aloof is often at the core of its propoganda. Fortunately God's interests are different. It will be interesting to hear whether she's willing to work with Him (or not.)
