- Go to Bears, bears, bears and more bears...I can't bear seeing more bears...
Your friend was right, there was one walking around in Lachute (my daughter lives there). But it was hit by a car not long ago, so is no more. Be careful when you take your walks, please. Just as well your dog is afraid - at least that way they won't be provoked.

Ravenmarie is on to a good thing there; I would love to see some pictures of those bears. Over here we have foxes and they too tend to move into the cities, again probably because they are hungry. Visiting one of my friends, who has a large overgrown garden, we sat watching a large fox as it sunbathed just in front of her sitting-room window. Thanks for a fascinating glimpse into your everyday life.

Being born in Alaska having bears around was common. I miss them so much. I wish you had pictures. Hint Hint.

Just make certain you don't inadvertantly find yourself between the mother bear and her cubs - that's when they can get very ornery! But I'm sure you know that...
Down here in our neighbourhood we don't have any bears, but we do have coyotes, which grab people's cats...
