I think it is very wise for him to have a vested interest in his trip! He will be better for it! Good for you to stay the course on his transportation from class! If he didn't complain I would say he has gained immensely from this experience! I loved your bike pic, too! Keep going yo are doing a fine job of parenting, MEGIRL! So, no Freeman of late? Splendid idea to let him earn his share of the trip. I'm sure if he falls short, despite trying, you'll cover the rest for him.

Well, adnohr, in this case we will have to negotiate an agreement! maybe, giving him more time, maybe more work around the house...? We'll have to see.

Trips like that are so good for the young, especially if they are expected to be responsible for their own preparation, planning and paying.
