the colors of fall being worn
a new season is born
the silence of the children
as school have children torn
life has been changed
as the tree leaves are rearranged

but in spite of all od these
being so terribly terribly sweet
deep inside me I feel a tinny twinge,
a small reminder of whats not there
among the red and golden leaves
that falling dance all through the streets,
stirred by a cold wind that sings
of horrible scary and spooky things...
sorry I am so late :-( I don't know how I missed it again!!!! :-(

Doorbells ringing, "Trick or treat!"
Wicked witches with warts complete
Ghosts and goblins roam the night
Intent to scare 'til mornings light

How about this one, I found it on my own from the beginning!
I smell the pungent aroma of colorful burning leaves
and children in costumes seeking treats
while running up and down city streets
and I smile as I watch my breath float upon a breeze!
I hope you have a great day! BTW, I'm listening to your music selection as I post my contribution! I have named this an evening, er, early AM with Calia! lol sammy

The smells, the sights, what choice have I
but to wade through a sea of tasks
instead to pick the acreage where I'll plant
this year's largest pumpkin patch

I think about the season passing
I want a new disguise
Orange and black colored days
Waiting for a surprise
Trick or treat in stealthy tred
Feeds the hunger of my dread
Hmmm perhaps I will choose a scary mask instead.......
