FSI - It's quite a dilemma he is in with his math..being the teacher I can imagine your frustation. Hope he improves in it.

So many factors come into play with standardized testing! It should be treat as a standard to arrive at a norm and each individual recognized for strengths and weaknesses identified! Sometime I wonder if the lad lacks confidence to achieve in math! sam

I agree, sometimes testing scores can be far from the true aptitude a person possesses. One reason may be that personal situations can change the results of a test.

Great Post
I say that because I've been there and seen that a lot with standardized testing! Whether I get a good score or a bad one, it's always not what I expect and sometimes the very opposite of what I usually do in school.

I recently just did the GMAT exam for my MBA and got a really good score in the Quantitative section (usually my weak point) and didn't do that well in the Writing and Reading sections (usually my points of strength).
