aren't you contradicting yourself regarding Afghanistan?
railing against the President for the deaths and arguing against me for defending hid actions when I say the previous president did nothing in Afghanistan -- and isn't that in itself being quite hypocritical? -- virtually saying that we shouldn't be losing lives in Afghanistan.

So which is it?  In or out?  You have spoken out of both sides of your mouth here.  How about an unpolitical definitive statement about where you stand.

What the world trade center wasn't on American soil during the first bombing.....US embassies are considered American soil.......And An American killed anywhere in the world is still AN AMERICAN!!!

I was talking about terrorist attacks on US soil.  Do I need to come up with a list of all the attacks we had during the Bush years that were not on US soil?

The FACT is that there have only been TWO successful terrorist attacks on US soil.  It is as rare as it gets for such an event to happen.  It is very likely that no matter who is in office, we will never see another such event in our life times, just because it really is that rare.

There is no evidence at all out there that defends the idea that Bush has done anything to keep us safer than we were before 9/11.

Of course we could go into the fact that after the Feb. 1993 bombing, Clinton wanted to go after Osama bin Laden, but Republicans like McCain said he was no threat and it was not worth it to go after him.  That is documented FACT.  So if we want to talk about who has made us safer, it is clear that the Republicans in the 90s did no such thing.

February 23, 1997
A Palestinian gunman opens fire on an observation deck atop the Empire State Building in New York City, killing a Danish national and tourists from the United States, Argentina, Switzerland, and France. The gunman's suicide note claimed his attack was a punishment against "the enemies of Palestine."

August 7, 1998
Truck bombs are detonated almost simultaneously outside two U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing 224 including 12 U.S. Citizens, and injuring more than 5,000. The attacks are carried out by 22 al Qaeda members, including Osama bin Laden.

October 12, 2000
A U.S. Navy Destroyer, the USS Cole, is rammed by a small boat loaded with explosives in Aden, Yemen, killing 17 Sailors and injuring 39. Osama bin Laden is thought responsible for the attack, and later it is proved that he and his group al-Qaeda is responsible.

You seem somewhat confused as to how blocking works I think.  This is one of YOUR posts. If I blocked you, I would still be able to comment here.  What you seem to truly desire from me is for me to ignore you as you spread misinformation, lies and propaganda and pretend that your opinions based off of such things are somehow fact.  If you really hate me coming in and using FACTS to prove your misinformation here wrong, then you need to block me.  I myself have no problem with the actual exchange of information and am ready to deal with those who wish to present actual facts to me that may be against my views, so I don't block people. I guess I am just not afraid of people not sharing my views. I just tell them how childish they act when they act childish and try to distract from the topic at hand becasue they know their views have nothing to back them up.  And if for once they could actually provide the smallest bit of evidence to back up their claims... well since that has yet to happen, I really have no idea how I woudl react to that.

Of course then you get insulting and make some very rude and childish personal attacks against me.  You should be glad I am not the kind of person to report those like you who very openly violate Blogit policy.  You clearly have no idea who I am, since nothing you said about me there is even close to being accurate. I am picky about my friends and have to respect them.  While I do have friend who are believers and are conservatives, I have respect for them becasue unlike you, they are not afraid to have a mature exchange of idea with me, and when it is an issue that they are unable to really defend, they do not act childishly and make personal attacks on my character.   If you were my neighbor, I and the rest of the neighborhood would celebrate it when you moved .  If you were a co-worker, I'd be glad when you quit the job and it would show us all just how foolish a person you really are.   If I were your employee, and you fired me because I did not share your political and/or religious views, I would sue you.  That alone shows that you are NOT a boss worth working for, since you do not judge people on their work abilities or their productiveness.  If you were Amish, then what are you doing on a computer?  And why would you be willing to go against all you believe in just to be a total jerk to someone you don't know?  Are you really that insecure and shallow of a person?

But let's get back on topic.


If we went by your logic, then Obama is doing a great job at keeping us safe from terrorists attacks.  I mean by this point in Bush's time in office we had the worst terrorist attack on US Soil ever, even though that is not saying much since it was the SECOND one ever.  Obama has now gone longer as president without having a terrorist attack on US soil, so he obviously is doing a better job of keeping us safe.

The fact is that it is an extremely rare thing for terrorists to be able to get their act together enough to make a successful attack here on US soil.  It has only happened twice and those were eight years apart.  Going off of your logic as well with that, then Clinton did a great job of protecting us, since we didn't have another attack until Bush took office.

Now that I have composed (I have not laughed so hard in years) myself let me give this a try. Nothing George Bush did "after the fact" kept the Planet or America safe!  This "war" criminal is responsible for giving everybody on this Planet "cause" to fly planes into buildings in America (including some Americans)!

Biggest facts that you overlooked:

1) People who committed crime died at the scene!

2) People who financed and planned September 11, 2001 are still alive and well.

3) Taliban, Afghans, Iraqis had no part in the planning or financing.

4) The man/men who is/are "alleged" to have financed the planning and execution are "alleged" to be living in Afghanistan?

5) You people are the most dangerous people on the Planet becasue you spew your insanity perched a safe distance from the carnage.

You misquote Obama and twist his words. 

You give credit to Bush for keeping us safe, when in fact there is NO proof of this at all.

You neglect the FACT that many of those you are labeling as 'terrorists' where cleared of those charges.  Basically we were holding INNOCENT people (Including children) at Guantanamo Bay for YEARS, taking away their rights because they were SUSPECTED of having terrorists connections. Out of blind fear you are trying to justify the mistreatment of innocent people.  You seem to think that ruining people's lives is acceptable as long as they are not Americans.  That is 100% AGAINST EVERYTHING THIS COUNTRY STANDS FOR.  If we start down that unjustifiably inhumane road, we become WORSE that those who attacked us.  True, honest and pure justice says 'innocent until proven guilty' and for us to be able to justify the very existence of this country, we need to hold on to that idea in order to insure that there is justice being done.  It sounds to me like you are ready to condemn thousands of innocents in order to hopefully get a handful of those who might be guilty.  That is the kind of thinking the real terrorist follow.

Hollywood has been making those kind of movie since well before 9/11.  They also have made movies that are just the opposite of those ideas, with our solider being the good guys and the terrorists being the bad guys.

Obama apologized for us invading Iraq, which had NOTHING to do with us protecting ourselves and caused great harm to not only that region, but the world.
