Sad. It is hard to see the pain past the addiction. So good for you to be there for her son and share your silent prayers!

This is a very sad story for all parties concerned, including the woman who died. We can't walk in the mind of an addict. I see so many weekly. They are such sad beings. I am thankful the son did not pick up the same pattern. I am sorry about his marriage. Marriages can be saved even after such as that. God bless him and you.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. And it was very good of you to be there for her son.

What a sadness for her son.  How sweet it is that you are there for him.

You are such a dear person and your silent thoughts were really
appropriate. How sadsome lives are but what a lovely son to love her regardless.I can think of a couple of young men who could have been more like him.

It had to make her son feel good! Wow! To pass away and not have many to mourn! A tough existence! I like how you silently did the right thing! It is a comfort! sam

Sad to say goodbye irrespective of all the bad memories.
