from provocation. May sound cowardly but not a bad survival technique.

I would trust my instincts.  I did on my "vacation" several times and it might have saved me from danger.

I imagine most robbers are not like David Niven playing jewel thief in
the movies.... Why shouldn't you be curious how the case comes out? I don't understand how anyone could possibly think you wouldn't be interested in how the case comes out.

I am so sorry about Wally's father.  And glad that all turned out well for Wanda.  Yes, the robber does sound a bit of an idiot.
