You are trying to find answers to existential questions, aren't you? There must be millions of people in the world who are dissatisfied with conventional responses based on the scriptures of the main world religions. I think it's very sad that you feel so isolated in this quest. Go on looking and good luck!

For myself I believe that God uses our intellect. I’ll tell you why. When the Holy Spirit guided the writers of the Bible He used their personalities and writing styles. I take it you’ve been with believers who think that thinking interferes with your relationship with Jesus so to speak. In casual terms it’s your choice to hang out with those that believe this. Oh gee if you feel personal conflict God wants you to feel happy in your faith. Seek your place in the Kingdom of God on earth and you will find. God’s blessings.  BCA, Bill*s RJJst
