 Taps .. I understand what you mean about critiquing the work of others because most poetry evolves from the heart and soul of the individual writer. I don't think I've ever read one of my poems aloud. I read them over quietly in my mind. Your idea is one for me to try. I really appreciate you for taking the time to read and your acknowledgement within your words. I couldn't tell you how many I've written over the years .. they are tucked or filed in many places and once in a while I surprise myself when finding one while looking for something else.

I'm no good at critiquing anyone's writing except my own, but I surely did enjoy reading it.  One of the things that I do if I'm really serious about a poem I've written, is read it out loud to see what it sounds like.  How many of these timeless jewels from the past do you have?
