I've experienced many deaths, but the lost of my father was the one that impacted me the most. Even though it happened a few years back, I will never forget that pain and hurt.

Re: This post reminds me of something I once wrote ...here it is.
I like your poem. I've been there too, where all you can give another person who has lost someone, is your presence. I believe every death is different and so no one can really truly connect to another one's lost, but by just being there and being supportive, is more than what words can say in a time of mourning.

Helpless Presence...
I look into your soul

As you mourn the loss

My heart plummets
To where you are
And sit there with you.
