Everyone is different. I feel bare without mine and also don't want anyone to mistake me for not being married. I just wear a plain band right now...My engagement diamond needs to be set again, as the prongs that hold the diamond in are bent.

it's design includes two dolphins and a snake, symbols of female energy and transformation. I found the ring at an artist's booth in the Public Market in Seattle, and wear it almost every day. I take this one, which I found when I'd been single again for about 15 years, as a symbol of my efforts to figure out where I fit in the world, the changes I've made. A wedding ring is symbolic of dedication to a way of life as well as a circle of love between two people who've decided to join their lives.
Maybe you two could have your rings sized larger, so you can wear them comfortably. Clearly they are important to both of you, and it would make you happy.
