Sinome, anxiety can do horrible things to a person for a number of reasons
past, present and future can all be very worrisome...you capture that "anxiousness" very well..

Sinome
"her soul always afraid of what is to come… of imminent catastrophes that will never happen"
A perfect description of someone who struggles with anxiety (I speak from personal experience). We worry about what the future holds rather than remaining in the moment – a moment which might actually be filled with small joys and a current of peacefulness if only if gave it a chance.

It is sometimes comforting to think "Tomorrow is another day."

Exquisite. "self made prison" I have taken great pains to create some of these. Energy spent somewhere else could release the world.

'They' always tell us to 'live for today' and in general I go along with that. But you are right for many people today is purgatory and the only thing thing that keeps them going is the thought of better times that may be ahead of them. You put it it so well Sinome!
Thanks for visiting me earlier this morning and leaving your kind comment.
