Re: Sinome
We are talking about two entirely different forms of love, human love, and divine love. Divine love has nothing to do with power, it is the love we aspire to give. peace mike

I think I took a vow of poverty somewhere along the way LOL. Not really but find the gifts I have been given are such that you do not notice rich and poor in the same position as we just have different experiences. To remain rich in material things must be a burden in its own way to keep in hot pursuit of more wealth. When your needs are fulfilled as an ordinary person you have inner wealth to give to others Smiles can make a persons day!

but Mike... isne't love power ?  When someone loves you you have inmense power over them... and power , isn't in a way power  a different kind of love?  for we want it, we covet it, it makes us happy and it controls others... which love also does.  ...  I think the black and white lines do not exist... we live in a gray universe my friend...

Re: sam444
Hi sam! It doesn't really matter how much you own, but how much love you have to give. peace.

Re: Sinome
Hi Sinome! Everybody gets into heaven sooner or later, but the souls that are closest to the end of the line normally will choose a tougher life in order to work off karma. It is not a sin to be rich, but it does make it harder to choose love over power.

What a beautiful way to give hope to the suffering ones... I never thought of it that way... that the worse this life is the more we learn hopefully from our tests and the closer we get to perfecting our way to G-d... Brilliantly expressed... but I disagree with your assessment of rich people,  Granted that many rich ones inherit their money and live a life of plenty... but many more have worked very hard to achieve their positions and they have earned every penney they have... after all, if we were all workers,  all poor... there would be no work or hope to get better... It takes all kinds to make a world and we can not all drive the bus  the same way we can not all be passengers.  The reason it is more difficult for a rich man to get to heaven than a poor one is that the rich one has more time to entertain the temptations to stray... not that making money keeps him from G-d.  The poor man is busy working and trying to survive... and has less time to be tempted.  A good man is a good man, rich or poor... and a bad one the same... but hey... that is my opinion... what do I know... I am not rich nor poor... middle of the way I am  loll  Hmmmm how would I rate in that parable of the camel and the needle's eye?  I hope I have at least a fighting chance to get into heaven :-) xoxo
