.....yes, jobs/shifts are like that - feast or famine, three ring circuses or everyone snoozing (residents, that is...:).....

I know the feeling, the restaurant I work at calls nearly every day off I have asking me to work, and if I'm in after noon they'll call and ask me to come in early.  I try to help out, but I have things to do outside of work, too!  I get 40 hours scheduled, that's enough to work around!
