Hello texture...
I read through your post and what I think is that you hit the nail on the head when you wrote:
"Opinion is so much of who we are." After much thought and reading and many years I think this is just it. We cannot and must not let random opinions of others, even when we like and respect them, be the defining factors as to WHO WE ARE.
Others' opinions and thoughts we might appreciate, enjoy or detest - but they do not define us in the end.
God - the Spirit - the Truth alone - our inner Being is that which we need to find to relate to find our true selves.
And God is Love.
Others opinions are nice - when they are kind and loving - I like them, too. But they cannot define me and we must not depend on them. They are just opinions.

When you can't not write,
then you are a writer. As for BlogIt, it is a place where you can fall in love reading a post. There are so many talented people, and kind people on BlogIt. In fact, it may be hard to get that constructive critisism you asked for. Thank you for your comment yesterday, really really, thank you.

I started on Blogit just to write and see what folks thought of my poetry! I was looking for way in which my reader was stirred! I have been pleasantly surprised by the reactions! I have had typos that were brought to my attention and have been most grateful! I study the mechanics of my craft and therefore do not expect any critiquing in that area! I have made wonderful friendships here on Blogit. I have met two bloggers and will meet another one later this month! One of my dearest friends I met on Blogit! This site is truly what one makes it! Just my humble thoughts! sam
