Yep,. I could see you doing that, Xeno....
....with your little Sherlock Holmes hat.....binoculars, notepad, brownie camera,  taking names and in your mind kicking butt.   When Obama's brown shirts get organized, you'll probably volunteer to be an instructor,  providing tips to tykes on the fine art of squealing on Mommy and Daddy..........

I wish here in the U.S. if you reported such lousy behavior
someone would respond

but the authorities don't have the time to do anything about it.

I  think that the culture since 1971 hardened the thinking of the social structure. The very hippy student demonstrators and their children have beat their parents and grandfathers as the new cold Establishment.  On my blog I bring back the lighter mood of post-Second World War America in an updated pop culture piece on even serious issues (black humor). In any event you emphasize the seriousness of post-1984 society. It makes even children cops on everything. Government misses traditional crime. Credit rating’s used now in business transactions instead of criminal records. I understand that your post only concerned itself with the misuse of children in Great Britain. Thank you. Corbin
The 'totalitarian impulse' (George Orwell) is alive and well everywhere, especially among neo-liberals who are hardly distinguishable from old-style fascists and socialists...

Didn't we used to follow California?
We escaped the English once, we can do it again.  But, seriously, the way our country is going, it could happen.

How Sad!
I hope Obama hasn't read the book or we'll be in more trouble.
