You have described the rain so perfectly and though it does not seem to change or alter the beat of the city streets, in the forest it can be magical, cleansing music.  Another beauty, Sinome.

This phrase is particularly pleasing :'it drenched  the trees,  the soil, my soul' because it marks a transition between the description of the rain and how you feel.

breathless....

This poem is amazing because the whole time I'm seeing the beautiful images you make with your words as the rain saturates the trees and darkens them and brightens the leaves...It's all beautiful and misleadingly makes you believe all will be well...but there is a subtle twist at the end, with the rain screaming and calling a name...making me realize that this might be the end, and the rain has come to wash away everything else, make everything new again, to start fresh.  A most amazing read, Marta.
