Ima, saving up for later doesn't work out a lot - just see how lots of those who had money saved in bonds and shares lost most of their money in the bank crisis! I've always spent my money - on travels, fine restaurants, lots of books, and yes: shopping - and never regret that. They can't take that away from me!
