What a very interesting blog entry!
I've never been to China, but am fascinated by it. Your description of the airport terminal (as well as the people of China) was magical. I could close my eyes and see exactly what you were describing. Very nice job!

“Everyman for himself” sounds like Chinese foreign policy, that is, their own interests. Otherwise it sounds Chinese to me. I hear ansd saw snapshots that show China as a rather intriguing place to visit. BCA, Bill*s Roost
