Excellent points! I often wonder what we're actually
doing with the time we 'save' by not doing what we used to do...I for my part
hate 'fast food', and the only time I have any is when I'm driving somewhere, usually too fast...

I make it a point to cook at least 5 days a week.

It seems that all of the "time saving" inventions that have come around really don't save any time at all

well change is what life is all about and "old times" are always better than present times :-) but what you say is so true... we are missing the personal touch . Great post.

I totally agree. It is a fast paced world, technology and fast food.
It is a little scary. Some day we'll only be talking via webcams and never face to face with loved ones..freaky... now, hang on, I have to order my Big Mac meal... super size, please, now where was I? lol

I've noticed that evening rush-hour is no longer an hour...
...but, four hours!! And like you said, the weekends are no better!
I think one of the things I miss most, in addition to lost family time, is the home-cooked-meals. I can't remember the last time I had one of those!

Yes.
This applies to neighborly relations. I wanted to take my neighbor to see
Slumdog Millionaire but it is already out on DVD and out of the theaters!

sometimes you give me a chuckle, but sometimes you give me melancholy. I miss Sundays, when the family got together after church and someone still knew how to cook. Getting everything instantly is not what it is cracked up to be, fast is not smart. A Sunday ride down a dirt road sounds great, but where are the dirt roads?

Right on! The times have changed so dramatically! I wonder if there is even a time set aside for family activities any more! The traffic is bad every day of the week it seems! Have a wonderful Sunday and put a roast on, I be over! LMAO! sam
