The same is true with children
Sometimes I have to stay out of the office when my children are being seen by their doctor.I have an exteme fear of needles and my children can tell as much.No matter how much of a brave face I put on.So I am not surprised that animals are the same since children and animals share a lot of the same traits such as blind trust(most times) and the hunger to be loved on as much as they can be.

What you say about the owner's energy reminds me of what the Dog Whisperer says on his show. Don't think people realize how much our pets feel us.
