Loving and losing.

       Recently, I was talking about the importance of money in our lives. A woman overheard this and remarked, "Money can't buy love!" I then said, "No, but it definately CAN rent it!" Surprisingly, she CRACKED UP! I wouldn't have normally said this to a woman, but since she was eavesdropping, I didn't care if she approved or not. I hate knowing people who are snoopy. If someone wants to keep anything private, I am almost always happy to grant such a wish, without curiosity. I wouldn't dream of reading someone else's mail, for instance. I have never known a woman who wouldn't read it, if she was confident that she would get away with it. What inspired my reply to the eavesdropper, was a conversation I was having with an acquaintance once, when I was complaining about my woman. He was happily unattached. He said, "It's cheaper to only RENT them!" Better loved and lost, than loved and won, indeed! I'm not really sure if love is even REAL. If it isn't just a rumor, I have learned that it nearly always has an expiration date. Variety has a quality all of its own, I guess.
