I need to blog about sending kids off at age 18 to college to declare a major...ie....a lifetime career.   We are simply not  given enough time to really explore what we might be good at and making career changes later in life is burdening in so many aspects.

The lady would have driven me nuts too! I think it is good you found out teaching was not for you before you got a degree in it! I taught for one year and then went into administration! I loved programming and curriculum development! sam

Teaching seems to be a vocation that many people think they want to get into until they get into it.   It definitely is not for everyone.

And sure, the new teachers have creativity but the jaded ones hang like glue to the Unions and know more about how to do the min by th book, than actually teaching. Some teachers told me: "Ditto them to death!" Shalom & have a great Sabbath.
