There were important people riding in the car
That is why it had to be clean and we ended up giving a shloch Mones to the Israeli down at the car wash where we washed the car, so he got a bit of Purim joy too.

I think I'd just forget about cleaning the car on such a busy day--unless, of course, someone very important will be riding with you. There is only so much time in one day.
