Well, just keep your eyes open. Neither Queen V and I were actively "looking" when we stumbled upon each other. I'm not the kind that invests a lot in destiny and what not, but sometimes things simply happen.

Part of it is learning a new mind set, one where I, me, and mine are subtly changed to we, us, and our. If two people equally accomplish that, the marriage runs a lot smoother.

Fortunate yes, but also smart enough to figure out how to make it work. It's not always as easy as I make it sound.

I suppose I could draw a lot from my personal experiences in writing fiction if I tried hard enough. Trying hard enough is the problem.

Actually, at this point I still had no idea where I was going. The idea of being in love, though thrilling, also scared the hell out of me. All I knew at this moment was the path I wanted to take.

I think there are plenty of men like me. While it's true half of all marriages fail, it's also true that half succeed. Those men for the most part are like me. If I can pat myself on the back, it's not because I'm so wonderful. It's because I talk about loving my wife openly while many men do not.

If I was looking I would hope to find a guy like you :)

This is so well done. What I see here are the ingredients of a good marriage. You two appear to have that down pat. My husband and I have a good marriage and to me there is nothing better.

I love the way you tell these stories.
When are you going to come out with a book?  You've got so many wonderful characters, all you need is a problem for them to solve.

That was really enjoyable reading! A significant moment in someone's life that makes them realise where they're going.
