Justi, so true.

Lovely post. It snowed for the first time of the year, only lasted a few hours last Sunday. Today you can go outside with short sleeves. March is a transition month here too. It transitions daily it seems. :)

The ice has melted on the little pond. There's a hint of green on the
back lawn. The kids at St. Somebody's across the street enjoy recess in shirt sleeves, no coats and hats and scarves. It's going to be very warm today... but winter may come back next week, more snow. Spring's a sometime thing in the Midwest, and one big feature is the tornado watch, because of all the fluctuations in the jet stream.

Our winters are very dark; March means longer days, higher temperatures and snowdrops and winter aconites are in full bloom. There's a very good advert about India on BBC world in which you can see people enjoying the Holi festival; the ad's catch phrase is 'India, incredible India'. Perhaps you've seen this one.

Today was in the 80's and I sat with son on his patio in the sun visiting and I think I stayed a little too long as my nose is red. But, it felt so good just lounging and talking about the beginning of his garden, and his plans, and the flowers that will be coming up, and such.
