When you visit them, TAPS,
be sure to let me know you're coming, and maybe we can have an Old Gals' Day Out!  I live an easy distance from Seattle.

As always, great pictures.  What a beautiful area.  My Oregon grandchildren no longer live in Oregon.  They now live in Seattle.  Maybe one of these days I will visit there and see some of it.

Ciel, we are in a great raptor winter area, some through the winter
The movers-through tend to be the smaller falcons, and the numbers of others temnd to go up a little here on the Central Valley's floor.

Re: Nice shots!!!

Thanks for the warning, majroj, especially about the raptors...  those pesky dinosaurs always mess up the garden, chasing us around!

On a less smart-alecky note-- I wonder if that is why we saw perhaps a peregrin falcon in one of our trees a few years ago...?  didn't realize such birds migrate.  Bald Eagles are in the area year 'round, and there is usually at least one hawk--probably red-tailed--keeping an eye on the freeway from a light post between here and the mall.

Nice shots!!!
Oh, by the way, just as you warned me Tim and Rosie were coming, I'm letting you know the Canada geese, sandhill cranes and raptors have been heading north for a week or so now. Our house finches are back. Look like a warm early spring.
