TAPS, I am so glad. Welcome to the wonderful world of doors
and windows. Gates are also big with me. Cheers.

Until your posts about doors, I was always interested in windows and window dressings both inside and out. You have peaked my interest in doors also.

What a wonderful post. The door with so many stories before it, on it and behind it. So many hands have touched the door from the making to the day you took the picture and even now we are alll commenting on the door.

sam44, somehow I suspect this is not a solid oak door.
But, I know what you mean. Years ago, when we were teenagers, my sister painted a almirah white - it was pure oak. Years later, I got it stripped and brought it back to its original glory. It sits downstairs on the ground floor of our home.

ravenmarie, so right
I might just, one day, knock on a door and listen to the stories.

What a cool door! I imagine it has seen many a different person, circumstance, enough to fill a lifetime! I like old doors too! But I go nuts when a beautiful, solid oak door is hidden behind paint! sam

The doors trigger so many imagined events behind their weathered faces. I wonder!

I can feel the energy coming through the picture. If only that door could talk, what stories it could tell.

There wasn't a sign that said:
"Bell out of order please knock" was there?
What is on the other side anyway?
A rose

from me

and from you know who!
