- Go to So...What Are You Going To Do With Your $13 a week Tax Cut?
Re: Re: Re:
The Anchoress reminds us how Michelle Obama ridiculed the $600 a person tax credit that was issued last year:
I just have one thing to ask: What does Michelle Obama suggest we do - how we will stimulate the economy with our $13?
As I recall, when there was a $600.00 stimulus check rolling down the pike a while back, Mrs. Obama rather sneered at it:
"You're getting $600. What can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything. But maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't pay down every bill every month..."
Hmmmm...I'm not sure I understand how $13.00 a week, reduced to $8.00 a week in January, will do much for "paying down every bill every month." $54 per month (or $32), when offset by the increased taxes that will come from ending the infamous Bush Tax Cuts - which stimulated us out of a recession and brought 7 years of unimpeded growth before this time-suspect strangeness occurred and the additional tax increases that will accompany our ramped-up spending, plus the million little laws, fees and fines that will eat into our incomes...help me out, I'm not really seeing the stimulus, here.

Re: Re:
Eight bucks a week for 52 weeks. Over $400 bucks a year. Times how many million people? I mean, even with the eight bucks, I could get with my wife, and together we could buy a pizza. Keep all those fast food places going. Even a tip for the delivery man. Isn't that good for the economy? I mean, it's an awful lot like that first tax cut Bush made in scale and scope. Was that one so bad?

Re:
Only one problem. If it cuts back to $8 per week in January then it will even equal the $600 you stated. Wow, Obama does have all the answers doesn't he? Ah, yes, he is the one we've all been watiing for! I'm so sorry for making fun but the idiots who voted for this clown have got to be feeling at least a little stupid by now.
I think I will send my $13 back to him since apparently the government needs it more than I do in order to pay for those 14 babies the lady had recently, ha! Liberalism is like a bad movie, it's so stupid its'funny!

Thirteen bucks a week isn't much. But it is over 600 bucks a year. That would buy me something. You want big numbers in tax cuts, you can't cut for the masses. They don't make enough.

Yahoooooooooooo $13 a week!
I will have to decide if I want to buy stock in dirt or sand. Maybe I'll go half & half.

LOL! But hey, he more than kept his promise! He promised you CHANGE, and you get thirteen bucks! That's more than the change I keep among my pocket fluff...
And what's this about Bud and Old Milwaukee? You don't actually drink that stuff, do you? Come on up this summer, and I 'll introduce you to some good Canadian beer...
