As much as a caregiver loves the one needing the 24/7 care, when one is spelled for a while, it is like a bright light at the long end of a dark tunnel. I used to get in the car and drive like a bat out of hell until one day I hit an oil slick on a rainy day going around a curve and went into a spin. Fortunately, on-coming traffic was not close enough to cause a pile up. But, it knocked some sense into me and I used my away time a little more wisely after that.
